In high school, he studied at Simon High School, and after high school, he joined Duke University.
He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the second overall pick in the 2014 National Basketball Draft. After one season, he ended his collegiate career playing for Duke.
He helped his high school team win four straight state championships for Simon Career Academy. He was named National High School Player of the Year by Gatorade and McDonald’s for his performance in the game. On April 17, Jabari declared for the 2014 NBA Draft in an exclusive Sports Illustrated autobiographical story. On June 26, Parker was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the second overall pick. On October 29, 2014, Parker made his NBA debut in the Bucks’ Game 1 against the Charlotte Hornets.
On December 15, Parker tore his anterior cruciate ligament in a game against the Phoenix Suns, resulting in season-ending reimbursement. He has since been named the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for October 2014. He is the son of former NBA star Tony Parker and grandson of former Milwaukee Bucks great Larry King. Parker was a member of the New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks.
