Who is Chantal Hermann?
Chantal Herman is a South African actress. Born in Cape Town, she was raised by her father, Anthony, an IT manager, and her mother, Sybil, a primary school teacher. Tania is her only sister.
She attended Seaside Drama School, where she obtained her Associate Teacher Diploma in Folk, Tap, Ballet and Modern Dance, and a Performer Diploma from Trinity College. She also spent a year leading the lighting and sound department.
She played “Jamela, a dying woman on the plains” in Simon Pegg’s 2014 film Hector and the Finding of Happiness, and she also played “Candy” and “The Young Doctor” in 2016’s “Prisoner” .
Chantal has made numerous appearances on South African television, including the soaps Isidingo and Generations, as well as Shado’s, Molo Fish II, Jozi Streets, Saints, Sinners and Settlers and Meeulanders.
She also had a starring role in Shado’s. Her most recent role was as enthusiastic English teacher Sylvia Hiscock in the TV comedy “Those Who Won’t”, for which she was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy at the South African Film and Television Awards in 2016.
