The University of Port Harcourt hereby invites candidates who have chosen the University as their first choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Entrance Examination (UTME) and achieved a minimum score of 150 to apply for admission to the University’s post-UTME screening exercise.

Online Registration Date
Registration will open on Monday 3 July 2023 and close on Monday 31 July 2023.Candidates should log in www.uniport.edu.ng Go through the registration process.

Important Dates and Registration Procedures
Candidates should visit the University website www.UNIPORT.edu.ng and strictly follow the registration procedure.
– Eligible candidates should enter their UTME registration number and confirm the pre-loaded UTME details.
– Generate Remita codes to pay with your Master, Visa or Verve cards etc.or print a payment slip and go to any of the banks below Through the Remita platform (ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, FCMB, UBA PLC and UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK) and pay only N2,000.00.
Obtain a Remita receipt showing the access code from the bank teller to confirm payment.
From Monday 3rd July 2023, operate online again and log in using your UTME registration number and the access code found on your payment slip.
– Complete the form online as required. Candidates who are awaiting O’Level results should indicate so.
– Click the “Submit button” and print the registration form for the screening exercise.

Candidates who fail to register within the registration period will not be eligible to participate in the screening exercise.

notes:
– Inconsistencies in names or pictures on registration forms are not acceptable to the University and may result in the disqualification of affected candidates. Candidates must have the same name on their O’Level certificates, UTME results and other registration documents.
– Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age or older by October 2023 to be eligible to participate in the event.
– Mobile phones, iPads, iPods, Walkmans and similar devices or any extraneous material are not allowed in and around the screening venue.
– Candidates must apply within the registration period as the online link to the application form will be disabled at midnight on Monday 31 July 2023.
– Registration is done online, therefore, candidates do not need to be physically present on the University campus, but registration from any location is recommended.
– Candidates who have selected the University as their second choice and wish to be considered for admission can only apply for the screening exercise after changing Port Harcourt University to their first choice.
– Candidates must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB website as soon as possible, otherwise they will not be considered for admission.
– Candidates must ensure they register using their own valid personal phone (GSM) number and email address.
– When the screening exercise is scheduled Candidates must report to the designated screening location as scheduled or risk disqualification.
– Parents and guardians and uninvited security personnel will not be allowed on campus on the day of the screening exercise.
