Daniel Chigozie: Nigerian Man Arrested For Selling His 9-month-old Son To Three Buyers

Agents from the Amotekun Corps arrested a 30-year-old man, Daniel Chigozie, for allegedly selling his 9-month-old son to three different buyers.
Ogun State Corps Commander David Akinremi said the agency had received intelligence that the father had traded his son, Daniel Chinonye Darlington, in a row.
He said Chigozie sold the young boy to three different buyers in different locations in the Sango, Meiran and Apapa districts of Lagos.
The suspect, a resident of Abela in Sango Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, Ogun State, paid N150,000, N400,000 and N700 respectively from unknown buyers between August 2022 and February 2023 ,000.
According to Akinremi, investigations conducted by the police revealed that the man was suspected of collaborating with a criminal syndicate who devised a method of retrieving his son from each buyer after each sale until he sold his son to the last The buyer, a Dr. Nossa of Apapa.
In his confession, Chigozie admitted to committing the crime.
He is being investigated by the National Agency against Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for a follow-up investigation to recover the child and to file charges.
