Huge Crowd Holds Solidarity Walk for Makinde’s Re-Election » Ngnews247
A large crowd of supporters held a walk in Ibadan on Wednesday in support of the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate for governor, Governor Sey Makind.
The crowd includes Nigerian youth, teachers, civil servants, businessmen, craftsmen, car dealers, etc.
Enthusiastic supporters of Governor Seyi Makinde started the solidarity march in Mapo, passing through Beere, Oje, Gate, Total Garden and ended at the State Secretariat Ibadan.
It was organized by a support group led by Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, Mr. Oriyomi Hamzat and Ms. Seyi Peace.
Against the cloudy sky, supporters walked around several streets in a carnival-like atmosphere.
They marched tirelessly, raising their voices and singing in support of Governor Sey Makind.
Governor Makind thanked the people for their love and devotion to his re-election campaign, expressing confidence that the outcome of the election will favor the People’s Democratic Party.
The Governor is asking the people to come out and vote en masse and stand by their votes.
At the State Secretariat, representatives of various trade unions, associations and beneficiaries of government employment under the Makind administration reiterated their support for Governor Makind.
Multiple speakers at the rally described Makind as having the ability, character and ability to qualify to serve as governor of Oyo State for another four years.
Solidarity walks are also used to raise public awareness of the need to fulfill civic responsibility at the polls.
