Chef Dammy revealed she didn’t take special cooking classes before she set out to set her goal of breaking the personal record for longest cooking time.
The 22-year-old made it public in her media exchange with a radio station, as she noted she was doing it out of passion.
Dammy, whose real name is Damilola Adeparusi, told the radio host that she didn’t learn how to cook or go to any culinary school.
According to her, she believes that once someone is doing something they love, knowledge will come.
She said; “I didn’t go to culinary school. I didn’t learn to cook. If you like something, explore it and the knowledge will come”

Meanwhile, Guinness World Records had earlier clarified that Dami hadn’t submitted an application before attempting to beat her compatriot Hilda Batch’s culinary record.
According to a publication, GWR revealed in an investigation that they had received no application from Ekiti chef.
“We have not received applications for this attempt. Applications can be submitted through the Guinness World Records website for review by our records management team.
“Once an application is accepted, record applicants receive a set of detailed guidelines specific to that record category that must be followed.
“This also details the list of evidence that must be submitted to our team to verify the record. Guinness World Records maintains a rigorous review process to preserve the integrity of each Guinness World Records title. “
