I Took Bank Loan To Make Song With Davido

Budding singer-songwriter Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, known professionally as Spyro, has revealed that he took out a bank loan to finance his song with Davido and Mayorkun.

The rising artist featured Omo Baba Olowo and Mayorkun on a 2018 single called “Funke,” but the song’s commercial success was short-lived.

In a recent interview with Cool FM, Spyro said he had been struggling to repay his loan for three years.

The “Who’s Your Guy” singer said he rose to the spotlight thanks to the collaboration, but fell after the song lost its initial momentum.

Sparrow said; “When I dropped “Funke,” the song popped.i have david [Davido], I got Mayorkun to participate in this song. My career was still going downhill after dropping “Funke,” and I thought, “Oh! Am I going to rise again?

“I jumped, but I just fell because there was no structure. There was nothing. When I was still signed to Upfront & Personal, I took out a loan from the bank to finance that particular record. When that time I now have to start paying the loan after it’s passed. That’s really hard because I’ve been paying for about three years.”
