Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda, formerly known as Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, has asked Twitter CEO Elon Muss to acknowledge and reward him for being the first to share a lengthy video on the microblogging platform.
Bella said he should get royalties if Twitter decides to monetize video uploads.
He made the request after claiming he was the first person to post a full music video on Twitter some time ago.
The CashApp singer’s statement comes after Musk announced that people who subscribe to Twitter’s Blue tick will now be able to upload a two-hour video.
The billionaire wrote; “Twitter Blue certified subscribers can now upload 2 hours of video (8GB)! “

In response, Shmurda pointed out that it costs money, it takes a lot of effort to shoot and promote music videos, and if the platform wants to launch a rewards program, creatives like him should be on the list.
