Li Qiang is a labor rights activist who works to protect the rights of factory workers in China.

Li Qiang was born in Zigong City, Sichuan Province in 1972.
From 1976 to 1977, he was a worker at the irrigation pumping station in Mayu District, Ruian County. From 1977 to 1978, he worked in the Third Tool Factory of Ruian City.
After the resumption of the college entrance examination from 1978 to 1982, Li Qiang studied agricultural mechanization at the Ningbo Branch of Zhejiang Agricultural University (now Zhejiang Wanli University). He taught sociology by correspondence at the private Chinese Sociology Correspondence University.
From 1995 to 1997, he was an on-job graduate student in management engineering at Zhejiang University. From 2001 to 2004, he was an on-job postgraduate student majoring in world economy at the Central Party School. From 2003 to 2005, he was an on-job postgraduate student at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained an executive master of business administration degree in 2005.
