Moet Abebe is a Nigerian video jockey, actress, TV and radio presenter who features popular Nigerian musicians on her radio show. She stepped into the spotlight after becoming the winner of a Soundcity TV audition.

Laura Monyeazo Abebe (born 29 July 1989), commonly known as Moet Abebe, is a Nigerian video jockey, television presenter, actress and caterer.

Born in the UK, she received her primary education at Corona Ikoyi Primary School and a year at Dowen College where she completed part of her secondary education. From there she went to Waldingham School and St Teresa’s Secondary School, also in Surrey, where she then completed her GCSEs and A-Levels. In 2008, she was accepted by Manchester University where she studied law. During secondary school she developed a keen interest in many extra-curricular activities such as public speaking, acting, sports and dance which enhanced and developed her creativity which would benefit her later in life.

Moët Career

Moet Abebe came into the limelight after deciding to move back to Nigeria to pursue a career as a TV presenter. Three months after moving back to Lagos, Nigeria, she auditioned for Soundcity TV, passed and started working for Soundcity TV as a TV presenter and producer.

As host of One On One, Body & Soul and Global Countdown, she has become a very popular face on Soundcity TV. During her time at Soundcity, she had the opportunity to land scripts for several films and TV series such as Red Card, Oasis and Arrangement of Life. She started her career on Soundcity Radio 98.5fm in 2016 where she is responsible for the afternoon hit “The Takeover”, Monday to Friday from 2pm to 6pm. She co-founded an event management and catering company called LM Occasions with her mother.
