Takeshi Tensei: Unemployed Reincarnation yes official english name Takeshi Reincarnation: Another World’s One-handed Doro Benki Osu. This is episode 2 of season 1 part 1 .
Going into this episode, I really wanted to see some kind of character development for our protagonist. As of now, I don’t really like him, and while you can still have an interesting story with an annoying main character, I’m not too keen so far.
but! I’m still interested in him and I don’t think he’s failed yet.

The episode opens with a funeral scene for the two. I guess we should assume these are the main character’s parents, since it zooms in on an empty seat and cross-fades to the main character in his room, comforting himself while looking at the girl in the bathroom. Two men and a woman entered his room and one of them hit him with a baseball bat. They forced him to leave.
As he was leaving, he saw three teenagers about to be hit by a truck skidding in the rain. He yelled at them to be careful and ran to the front of the truck to try to save them.
Rudy just opened his eyes. It seems that he was a little distracted when he was practicing earth magic. These memories seem to have a rather negative effect on Rudy, who doesn’t like remembering them.
He overhears his parents having sex next door and plans to break into them and cause some trouble, but when he leaves his room he finds Roxy eavesdropping by their bedroom door. Rudy sees Roxy as a growing teenage girl. , so she was a little curious about those things. Without speaking to her, Rudy decided to pretend he didn’t see anything.
We see that, thanks to Roxy’s teachings, Rudy can now use intermediate magic with ease. During an afternoon class with Roxy, she told him that she was actually a demon. She tells Rudy about a race called the Sperd, who have green hair and are very dangerous. She warns him to stay away from them.
Time flies and about a year has passed since Roxy’s arrival. One day, Rudy saw two children playing in the distance of the village. As he gazed at him, he remembered the severe bullying he suffered in high school, when he was stripped naked and forced to pose for pictures while his bullies took pictures with their phones.
He hid behind a bridge and began gasping in terror before Roxy appeared. She realizes he’s upset about something and tries to talk to him to ease his nerves. She pointed to a mountain in the distance, and told him that there was a school called Rano University of Magic. It is said that this is the top magic school in the world, and she recommended Rudy to attend.
Rudy, on the other hand, hates school because of the trauma and doesn’t want to go. However, we see that Roxy has nothing left to teach Rudy. Anyway, they threw a big party for Rudy’s 5th birthday and Roxy gave him his own wand. His mother, Zenith, gave him a book, and his father, Paul, gave him an epee.
Roxy tells Rudy that tomorrow is his final exam. When that day comes, Roxy tells him they’ll have to leave his house to go more remote – but Rudy is too scared to go outside and doesn’t want to. He seems to have been harboring some fears of past lives and a reclusive lifestyle. Roxy figured he must be afraid of riding a horse.
Roxy picked up Rudy, put him on the horse, and crawled behind him. He shows great hesitation about leaving his house’s grounds, but Roxy tells him not to worry because she’s with him. As they continued on, they passed another villager on horseback, and Rudy became very nervous, not wanting the stranger to glance at him. Rudy seemed calmer, though, when the stranger smiled and greeted Lexi briefly.
Everyone they meet talks to Roxy and seems friendly, despite her being a demon, which helps calm Rudy’s internal anxieties.
They went to practice magic in a desolate place, and Roxy demonstrated first. Using a spell that summons storms and lightning, she accidentally hits Rudy’s home Macaravaggio. She heals the horse, and now it’s Rudy’s turn to cast a bigger and more destructive spell than Roxy’s. Roxy congratulates him and tells him that he has officially “graduated” and is no longer her student.
The next day, Roxy left. Rudy was very sad to see her go, but thanked her for helping to ease the terrible emotions and memories from his past life.
He also stole a pair of her underwear and put them in a drawer.
Opinion/Analysis
I really like how we see his PTSD act out in this episode and how his aversion to going out is so innate that even in an alternate magical world he has to unlearn that instinct .However, as someone who suffers from a mental disorder myself, I don’t like too fast Anxiety swept away. It takes a long time, and a lot, many The outing brought those symptoms into relief. That’s my only complaint about how his trauma is portrayed.
However, I obviously don’t like that he is still acting like a baby to this middle school girl. He has the mind of a man in his 30s, too disgusting!
Although, I guess we’re not going to like him yet, but We get to know him more and more, If that makes sense. I’m happy with it so far! I hope we see more of Roxy too, despite her departure! Maybe at the school she was talking about.
