Last episode our main character was really disgusting so I hope this one is different. I really liked episode 2, where we saw him grow as a person – but lately, we’ve been lacking that element.

The episode begins with Eris and Ghislaine practicing swordplay. Ghislaine is amazed by Eris’ progress and claims that she will reach another prestige level soon. Alice is ecstatic, but Rudy hasn’t seen any noticeable improvement in his skills.
In addition, Alice’s magic skills are improving, and Ghislian’s magic skills are also improving. Hilda passes by one of their driving ranges and glares at Rudy, who is baffled by this and wonders if he’s done something wrong. Rudy, didn’t you stare at her boobs last episode? You don’t understand why this upsets her…?
Anyway, Rudy and Phillip have a scene together where they’re both talking about their weird fetish for Beastwomen. Rudy is just an eccentric horny guy, but Philip is happy to talk about it. Anyway, Rudy wants to learn new languages like Beast and Demon. Phillip has allowed him access to books on these topics from his personal library.
Eris’ 10th birthday is coming up and they have a big party for her. At this party, she’s supposed to be able to dance, but she’s not good at it. Also, Rudy is trying to learn the Devil’s language. Roxy sends him a book she’s handwritten on how to interpret the devil’s language, and Rudy offers to help Eris learn to dance with one of the maids who taught her.
Before the party, Rudy gave the wand to Ghislaine and Eris, since that’s what Roxy made for him. Ghislaine also gave Eris a ring passed down from her tribe of beasts. In that sense, they sort of “graduated,” though not really graduated.
Alice’s party arrives, and a boy begs her to dance, but Alice keeps going faster than the music, falls down, and makes a fuss. Rudy feels bad and holds out his hand (Paul doesn’t like doing this because he wants to hide Rudy’s identity). Since Rudy was her dance partner, he was able to learn more about how she drives the music.
He made her close her eyes, which made her drag even more and made her rhythm perfect. The two danced together, and the crowd burst into applause. Rudy gets a small group of girls who seem to like him, and Philip makes a crude joke about getting one of them pregnant, even though Rudy is actually 8 years old.
Rudy wakes up next to Eris (No big things happen, don’t worry) And touch her inappropriately again before stopping himself. He hears a couple having sex and goes to spy on them and discovers it’s Eris’ grandfather and a beast maid. She ran away in embarrassment, but Grandpa didn’t seem to care. He pointed to some strange floating red object in the sky and asked Rudy if he saw it. Rudy claims he knows and asks what it is, to which the grandfather says “probably nothing because it’s easier that way.”
Opinion/Analysis
I can’t believe I’m relieved that a man isn’t touching his own cousin inappropriately. For Rudy, the bar was too low.
However, I appreciate the juxtaposition of Rudy and Eris in this episode; when Rudy’s task is something he finds extremely difficult, he can express how hard it is, but hasn’t given up yet. Meanwhile for Eris (who, let’s be clear, 10 years old So this behavior is to be expected) and when she’s not good at something, she gives up immediately.
I’m so proud of her for not giving up on dancing, no matter how difficult it is. I really question her life situation though – I really don’t like how all the men in this show are bad. Especially Paul and Rudy.
