Inukai-san Step into the scene in a fun, skimpy dog costume complete with paws, ears and tail. Clearly she was eager to win Pochita’s favor.
Inukai pulls out of her pocket a small, unusual device she calls “Doggylingus.” Its purpose, she explained, is to translate the language of dogs into that of humans. There was determination in her eyes, and she decided to use it to find out how Pochita really felt about her. She took a deep breath and asked Borchita if she liked her. Porchita said “yes” loudly, but the translator misinterpreted and relayed the negative response, much to Inuyang’s disappointment.

Just then, the door opened and Inukai’s mother walked in. There was an awkward silence in the room, and the mother and daughter looked at each other in surprise. The tension was palpable, but quickly faded as Inukai turned his attention to Pochita.

Back in Pochita, Inukai asks him if it’s weird that he likes dogs so much, or if it’s weird to like things that other people don’t usually like. As Borchita listened to her, the question brought back memories from his past. He remembers watering the school garden, finding solace in solitude and the company of blooming flowers. Suddenly, Inukai walks up to him and says it’s not surprising that he likes Hana’s company.

In response, Pochita barked, indicating that Inukai was not surprised either. She questioned the translator and smiled, seemingly satisfied with Pochita’s answer, even though Pochita himself didn’t understand what the device was translating.

Later, Inukai mentions that she plans to go to Mokoko’s house the next day. She also revealed that she took a part-time job to help pay for Pochita. This leads to a scene in which Pochita hatches a plan to ship herself to Cat Valley’s home via an Amazon package. While Inukai sleeps, Pochita creates another…Strange…her reaction.

The episode ends with Inukai and Pochita embarking on a journey to Mokoko’s house, thus wrapping up another momentous day in their lives together.

Opinion/Analysis
The episode was generally fun, although the ecchi stuff wasn’t particularly to my liking. I feel like the story could have captivated the audience without those elements, but I understand that’s basically what the series is about. The highlight of this episode is a deep insight into Pochita’s past and a more personal portrayal of Inukai.
For ecchi-loving viewers, there was very little nudity in this episode. Personally, I’m indifferent to it. My focus is still on the evolving storyline and character development, and this episode does it well.
