Netizens hail Mr Eazi for making silent moves unlike Wizkid, Davido

Nigerian singer and savvy businessman Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr. Eazi, has been hailed by many for his recent acquisition.

The $1 billion acquisition was spearheaded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson through his newly formed diversified company, Gamma. Apple and Eldridge Industries and A24 are also listed as some of its investors.

The young VC fund announced its first exit after Gamma acquired its portfolio company Vydia; having previously worked with artists such as Akon, Kanye West, Mr. Eazi and Anuel.

The deal is the largest in Afrobeats history.

Following the news, many took to social media to cheer the singer’s silent move.

Also last year, Mr. Eazi teamed up with a group of other American models and celebrities to campaign for Hugo Boss’ high-end fashion label.

Mr. Eazi participated in the #BeYourOwnBOSS campaign alongside UK model Naomi Campbell, US DJ, DJ Khaled, US model Gigi Hadid and Senegalese-Italian media personality Khaby Lame.

The Nigerian singer is the only African artist in the new star-studded Boss campaign, according to a statement signed by Mr Eazi.

“The Spring/Summer 2023 campaign features a star-studded cast, including Nigerian entertainer Mr Eazi.

“He posed nostalgically for an adorable photo of him as a kid in a new season sweater from Boss.

“The intention was to illustrate Boss’ mantra ‘Be Your Own Boss’ by telling the story of the celebrity in the ad who walked the ‘extraordinary path to a successful life’.

“The brand has also recruited celebrities from around the world such as Colombian pop singer Maluma, American supermodel Gigi Hadid, British model Naomi Campbell, Korean actor Lee Minho, Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini, Anthony Joshua.

“The superstar singer has recently continued to climb the ladder after a string of successful releases such as Legalize, Patek and the latest single; Werser, which is gaining popularity on Tiktok.
