New cancer cases have doubled in France since 1990

According to figures published by the French public health authorities, approximately 433,000 new cases of cancer are detected in France each year. Since 1990, this number has doubled. Experts point to a sharp increase in the number of new cases among women, which is directly related to their increased tobacco consumption. FRANCE 24’s Science Editor Julia Sieger tells us more.
