In-Motions Business Limited, a Nigerian-owned company, gifted Nigerian chef Hilda Baci with a piece of land to break the Guinness World Record for the longest personal cooking time.
General Manager Mr. Gideon Ekanem announced a generous donation of land worth N3.5 million.
The land at Wana Court Green Estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State was gifted to Hilda Baci for her extraordinary achievement in the cooking marathon.
On Monday, May 15, 27-year-old graduate Baci broke the current record of 87 hours and 45 minutes by cooking for up to 100 hours before stopping.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Ekanem praised Baci for showing perseverance and determination that led her to achieve the historic feat.
He said the company was delighted to honor the chef and highlighted their shared values of hard work and perseverance.
The statement read; “Hilda Baci embodies the very essence of resilience in today’s society. We wholeheartedly join with the entire nation and our fellow Akwa Ibomites in celebrating her extraordinary achievement.
“In recognition of this remarkable achievement in the culinary marathon, we are delighted to present Hilda Bassey with a free piece of land at Wana Court Estate, the first truly green and smart estate in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state.
“May this well-deserved honor be a testament to your unwavering determination. The foundation of In-Motions Business Ltd. rests on the pillars of diligence and perseverance, as we remain true to these virtues”.
Baci’s four-day “cooking marathon” begins at 4pm on Thursday 11th May at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos State and ends on Monday 15th May at 8pm.
