A Nigerian man expressed shock after ordering a mashed yam and soup at a hotel and was told the price was more than N5,000.
In a video posted on Instagram, the man can be seen checking numbers with the waiter who delivered the food to his room.
They counted the amount of every item, from bottled water to pounded yams and soup, and the turkey in the soup.
He was told that the pounded yam and soup would cost N1,500, while the turkey would be N3,500 and the bottled water would be N400, totaling N5,400 by the time they were finished.
Heartbreaking about his situation, he sighed and fell silent.
