Oyo Pilgrims’ Board Gives March 20 Deadline for Initial Payment » Ngnews247

The Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) has stated that it will stop charging prospective pilgrims the initial Hajj fare for 2023 on March 20, 2023.
This was disclosed in a statement to the press in Ibadan today by the chairman of the board, Professor Sayed Malik.
The Board is taking only 2.6 million Naira (#2.6M) as an initial deposit for the 2023 Hajj ticket price for every would-be pilgrim in the state.
“Recall that the Nigerian National Hajj Council (NAHCON) recently allocated 1,441 seats for Oyo State for Hajj 2023, and in view of this, the State’s Pilgrim Welfare Committee has identified 2.6 million naira (#2.6M ) only as an initial deposit for each would-be pilgrim, pending announcement by NAHCON of the final Hajj ticket price,” he said.
The Chairman of the Board appeals to all prospective pilgrims who wish to travel with the Board to ensure that they deposit their money into any bank account designated by the Board on or before Monday, March 20, so as not to miss out on the opportunity.
“Those who previously deposited less than N2.6 million can quickly top up with their remaining balance before the deadline. Distribution of PINS to would-be pilgrims who have completed their payments will begin on the same day,” said Professor Malik.
While expressing the board’s gratitude for Governor Seyi Makinde’s untiring support, Malik said the board has started working on all the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj in 2023.
