Ramsdale Not World-class, Martinez Better Than Him – Gabby Agbonlahor

Former England international Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested that Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale is not a world-class goalkeeper.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is better than Ramsdale, Agbonlahor told TalkSPORT.

Ramsdale and Martinez have both impressed in their respective Premier League campaigns this season.

“I don’t think he [Aaron Ramsdale] is world class. No, he’s not world class.

“Yesterday, I was talking to someone about Martinez, [there has] There has been talk of all the big clubs wanting the Aston Villa goalkeeper.

“I mean, ‘You can’t let him go, Aston Villa!’.” Because every club that does well in world football has a top goalkeeper, and he’s top. For me, Martinez is better than Ramsdale,” he said.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez revealed this week that Argentine midfielder Lionel Messi has helped him become a better player.

Speaking after Inter’s 1-0 win over AC Milan, Martinez said he had learned leadership from Lionel Messi, who guided Argentina to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Inter beat AC Milan in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final at the San Siro on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old captain of Simeone Inzaghi’s team beat bitter rivals AC Milan 1-0 in the semi-finals of the Champions League to reach the final 3-0 on aggregate, scoring the winning goal for Inter Milan in a 2- 0 won the first round.

Martinez pointed out that Messi has helped him in every way, including influencing his leadership.

He said; “I have grown a lot mentally this season. I have teammates who have helped me grow, I have learned a lot from Messi, talking to him and he has helped me in everything.

“It was special to hold that World Cup in my arms and I learned a lot about leadership from him.

“It’s special being a skipper and this evening will be one of my lifetime.”
