On July 31, Daniel Bartelt, then 19, was charged by residents of Hubertus in connection with the death of Jessie Blodgett. Battelle was charged with four felony counts in total, including first-degree manslaughter in the killing of Blodgett.
The other three charges against him relate to an alleged incident at Ridgefield Park on July 12. The three charges include first-degree reckless endangerment of safety, false imprisonment and first-degree attempted homicide.
