Social media companies such as TikTok, Snapchat or Twitter are under renewed scrutiny, with many French policymakers saying the platforms are fueling widespread unrest across France. French President Emmanuel Macron accused social platforms of encouraging what he called copycat violence in response to the shooting of 17-year-old Naher by police on Tuesday.
