Can ski resorts survive climate change? This is the question many people in the Alps and in mountainous regions of the world are asking. Warmer temperatures, less winter snowpack and melting glaciers mean ski resorts are finding new ways to attract visitors. About 200 professional skiers, including American star Mikaela Shiffrin, recently published an open letter to the International Ski Federation warning that their sport is at risk. Clovis Casali and Thibault Jeanpierre of FRANCE 24 report from La Plagne in the French Alps, a resort that has had to adapt to global warming.
